Consistent Healthy Choices WORK!

I was the heaviest I have ever been and did not feel very good about where my belly was going. I felt heavy, not as much energy and lets face it, just lazy because my body was not used to the weight. I sure did not like the direction I was going with my choices of diet, portion size, time of meals or snacks and all around EVERYTHING.
Genetics had helped me until now but at 42 and having stress related chest pains for the last 2 years, It is NOW TIME TO DO SOMETHING or understand what jepardy I was putting my family and I in.
So here are the facts. I weighed in at 230 about 2.5 weeks ago. I have cut down portion sizes, do not eat after 7 or 8pm except for vegtables or maybe a yogurt to get the snack craving out of my mind and belly, and have little snacks like nuts and chew gum, good healthy dinner with portion size at a healthy level.
After doing that for 2.5 weeks I have lost 10 lbs as of today!!!! I begin the weight training and building part of my program this weekend which will increase my metabolism so the diet and exercise with speed up results after a few weeks of consistency. I am very excited.
I already feel better and it is nice to see the results.
Remember, Consistency and time is a HUGE factor. Do not cheet and you WILL see results. Hang in there.

Molitor Family Tri-Triathlon July 3rd, Moses Lake,WA

Melissa and I are participating in our friends annual TRI-Triathlon tomorrow.
1/4 mile Swim (15-20 min estimate)
12 mile bike (1 - 1:10 hour estimate)
3 mile run (30 min estimate)
It begins on Moses Lake swimming between their parents dock to their brothers and back where we will get on the bike and ride to Moses Point Golf Course and back, then run around the Pennisula (Where we rented a home) and finish at their home for a brunch. Start gun at 8am. Cheer us on and for those who have been to Moses Lake you can have a visual of the course. We will try to take and post pictures after.
I have not worked out consistantly so this is a great Get R Done way to begin my 90 day fitness program. Maybe not the way I would recommend, but maybe that is what I need. =-)
Melissa and I rode 6 miles on our mountain bikes (yea, not recommended for road, but you use what you have). I finished in 35 min and Melissa in 40 min.
Who wants to do it next year with us? You can do a Pond Swim, Ride to PHS and back, Run around Green Valley and back to The Pond for Brunch. Who is with me?
In proud support, honor and love for Mark and other Service Men and Women, I will be wearing a camo boony hat he gave me and the KFOR t-shirt on the bike and run. Go 160th War Pigs!
Have a great 4th. Love you all. B,M,B &L

Welcome Family

Welcome to the Life Choice Fitness blog. I wanted to get something up and going for us all to beging sharing information and motivation.
July is Month One on our journey. Begin watching your food choices for Portion Size, Calories, Sugar, Nitrates, Carbohydrates, and Trans Fats. Begin making healthy choices today on what you put in your body. The ONLY body you get!
In addition, begin thinking about the activities you can do with your family members that are fun around your home. Maybe, activities you have been wanting to do for a while. Canoe, kyaking, biking, hiking, frisby golf, archery field round, golfing, 5K walk/run, beach walking/running. There are activities all around us that are fun and exciting with others.

The Poll in the upper left side of this blog is for you to answer when you have completed an hour of that activity (Not what you like to do, but what you have done). I would like to calculate the hours of activity we all have done in each category for 2010.

The Army has it right by saying and living, "Be All You Can Be!"
Along with Nike, "Just Do It!"

Join me by making 2010 the year we all make changes for a healthy life style by the choices we make.
